It beeps when you press the button.

It beeps when you place it on the base.

But today, it beeps no more.


I classify this as a repair.

    I would like to apply the same mod repair to my air fryer.

    Do you think it might make sense to add a small resistor instead of removing it entirely? What could be a good value?

      The air fryer is one that I actually find useful, but it was way too loud so I just covered it with hot glue

      Should work, yeah. I guess I’d start by trying something like 100 ohms, but I don’t really know.

      Being less confident in my soldering skills, I also just cover the emitter in hot glue, or that tacky stuff that kids hang posters with.
