I’m a fan of the ally flag.
Technically not true; the rainbow covers all under the gender, romance, and sexuality spectrum. But it does indeed primarily get used as the catchall queer flag, so I guess!
No, it represents the LGBTQIA+ community. It does not include allies, and saying it does is an invitation for appropriation.
Time for a new flag! Let’s add polka dots!
(I’m joking, I think the flag gets stupider as stuff gets added to it. I understand what it represents, but as a piece of graphic design I hate the chevron addition)
I think the cevron works because it follows classic flag conventions, but that doesn’t make it pretty.

kind of a cute sentiment. i didn’t have such terminology in mind back in the day but i would’ve likely related to it a lot before it finally hit me that literally almost all the disgust and revulsion i had felt throughout my entire life toward myself had actually been gender dysphoria all along ._.
i just really really didn’t want to believe that it was what it was
because being trans is hard and scary and i am weak and cowardly
and it could get me murdered by state sponsored domestic terrorists
or just the usual regular stochastic lynch mob…
or even just some random person who might snap and go berserk because they believe i shouldn’t exist.well … hey, i believed i shouldn’t exist for most of my life so … i guess i get it x.x
Don’t forget to look at the bright side. There are people who want, not only that you survive, but that you actually live your life (and one of those people is yourself ;)

Straight people still aren’t part of the flag. We’re not supposed to be and thats ok. Getting turned on by only the opposing gender is still straight.
