to my knowledge the channel name is unrelated to the moonies, iirc it’s a touhou reference? Also, he said on another that he attends a hyper niche new york church but didn’t give much more detail, it maybe but rather unlikely.
As for the DPRK, I should have mentioned that asterisk, sorry 'bout that. It’s still a decent video imo, but it’s a liberal one for sure, I haven’t seen other marxist channels or pro-DPRK areas on the topic of the incel war of aggression within the Samsung Republic so his videos became my default for the topic.
I don’t think you’ll find nuanced takes on DPRK outside of forums like these and a few communist YouTube channels.

Japan is definitely as misogynistic as Wrong Korea, all the same preasures, demand for children, hyper-capitalist gender roles, pay gaps, rising incel culture exist in Japan. In one particular way Japan is worse than Wrong Korea as denying mass historical sexual violence against women is just a regular part of Japanese politics.

At least over in Thailand, not in the same intensity as it is over in South Korea but I do occasionally hear some inking of the messy gender war discourse in regards to China and Japan. It has been a while though.

from my understanding korea has a deep cultural thing about division of the genders. part of why transgender people struggle immensely in korea isnt outright malicious hatred, as much as it is jobs and society being so specifically and unnecessarily gendered. huge part of the blame goes to the United States because they pushed for very misogynistic laws during the occupation.
it’s not to say that everyone is going through the same situation. i follow many korean influencers on instagram, mostly pet owners who post cute pets. i’ve noticed that every single one of them that isnt a flaming hot piece of shit has no trouble getting a girlfriend or wife. this one korean influencer i follow has flooded my feed with mostly baby videos and dad-baby content.
