I’m going to preface this by saying I don’t think she deserved to be cancelled over her comments. There is a huge difference between an organization and other entities pushing to cancel a journalist, and the president is the United States directly banning certain journalists. Both are bad, but one is significantly worse than the other.
Agreed, there is a difference, but I think there are similarities and direct ties to now. The Anti Defamation League is explicitly part of the Israel lobby. Getting cancelled by Israel has been known to be bad for a career. I think we can connect that directly to today.
