I had heard the “PosmarketOS” name in the past but it never sparked my interest, I had always assumed it was an OS made for some old obscure hardware that I’m likely to not own or that I would not be able to buy anymore. Either that, or a distro meant for old PCs.
I just found out that it comes shipped in PinePhones.
GrapheneOS doesn’t instill the same view either. I think post market was better fit than this more obscure name.

I did not say people immediately get that GrapheneOS is a secure phone OS just from the name. Adding “OS” to its name does not make it less obscure.
