    my dream body is a swarm of nanomachines with total mastery over electromagnetism that can reshape itself at will, but i would spend most of my time in the shape of a hot blue glowing trans girl.

    edit: now that i think about it i basically described trans fem dr. manhattan…

    This is basically the world of Orion’s Arm. It’s “hard” interstellar STL sci-fi, yet normal humans are an infinite sea of furries, cyborgs, uploads, furry cyborg uploads, engaged in all sorts of transcendental… Well…

    A theme is that the ruling intelligences are worried about the Fermi Paradox, and they seem to the like the idea of letting diversity run wild to “hedge their odds.”

    I sometimes think my dream body would be the size of a house that provides habitat for cats and various woodland creatures. Maybe a human or two… maybe. Would be mobile too. Can achieve orbit.
