I know a lot of people still use facebook for outreach, but it should surprise no one that they took down access to a progressive account.

They’ve been caught supporting Right Wing political campaigns in Brazil:

Facebook has straight-up been paying right-wing Nazi influencers and anti-LGBTQ influencers to post. People need to stop using Meta. Every click they get is ad-money that they turn around and use to support fascists.

Thanks for sharing those. I knew there were other examples, but I only found publications highlighting that Right Wing content generated more engagement because of their sensationalist posts.

These people are on bluesky. They should also start using the real fediverse instead of some US knockoff.

Instagram account for 90 minutes at the height of nationwide demonstrations—and even after restoring the page, locked organizers out of posting.

So much for free speech amiright?

I think they’re just shitheads who’ve embraced fascism. Don’t need the CIA to back them up.

All the tech oligarchs after 2020 saw that biden wasn’t going to do shit and the fascists would come back and win, so they sided with the seeming winners. It’s as simple as that. Not that they didn’t favour them before that, but it took a real turn after 2021 passed with no charges for Jan. 6 or the 3 month revolving coup attempt, to say nothing of other corruptions.
