Stewart died at his home in Los Angeles on Wednesday after a “brief and poignant journey” with Alzheimer’s and Lewy Body Dementia, according to a statement

The BBC also published an obituary, Sir Patrick Stewart: Actor who moved effortlessly between Star Trek and Shakespeare.
He was a great human being and incomparable on stage and screen, where he led The Next Generation where no one has gone before. May he rest in peace.
