I am guessing that there isn’t much interest in migrating away from Facebook!
New posts are appearing there but not on here!
I can understand the reluctance and without doing some configuration work, the interface is clumsy and unappealing but once you get it setup the way you want it - it is very good.
Most people will not be willing to persevere so, if we want to migrate to this platform, we will have to make it more appealing or make Facebook less appealing!!
So, also… I only just saw these comments ! I don’t get any notifications of new posts or comments. I did think about doing another post on FB about signing up here. Some told me they were trying, but they are not here and must have dropped it or life got in the way etc. I am very motivated to keep this going as an alternative to FB… we just need more action here. How about I do a post with some step by step screen captures… and you two back it up with comments, advice, suggestions and positivity…

I must admit that it is clunky which is why people will be put off but once you get it setup nicely it simply works!

Thats great news. I got email notifications about these replies, which is good. Your help to other members will be really good, then it’s not all me and they can see that other members have succeeded.
Hi there, I agree, its quiet here and I’m not sure how to motivate folks. I don’t post any more on FB than on here.
Unfortunately there are many who will only stick with what they know or are comfortable using.
I’d say you’d get a better result trying to motivate folks to migrate here rather than punish them on FB as that will just piss folks off and they’ll quite rightly, IMHO, just disappear.
Agreed but how do we motivate them?
Have a competition which they have to go on here to enter?
