    Why would they call it historic gains? It went up 10% in a day after dropping 20% over a week. It’s not even back to where it was two weeks ago. Delusional.

      Because it was the highest gain in a single day ever, it is considered to be historic.

      But yeah, it doesn’t mean much when it’s isolated like that.

        It makes sense but it’s still pretty disingenuous

        If I throw out my wife’s beanie baby collection and then bought 10 beanie babies I wouldn’t proclaim to my wife “we just had our biggest day in history, 10 new beanie babies in one day!” Because once she is no longer elated about her ten new babies she will eventually begin to ask where the money for those came from, and presumably go to add them to her collection only to find her shelf empty. It’s a historic day, I tell her again. We’ve never gotten this much at once!
