    Can these planes be used for other things or does them being part of the nuclear deterrent mean they’re only used for nuclear deterrence?

      They can be used for all kinds of things. But in this case Britain seems to be buying them specifically for their nuclear capabilities. (They already operate the B model of this plane, but only the A model is rated for the B61 nuclear bomb).
