They sadly don’t seem to push much effort into Linux, which is a shame, because it ties you to Windows.
I don’t say that it is impossible, but much harder than on steam. The most upvoted wish is the port of GOG galaxy on Linux after all
It is genuinely sad that they haven’t brought GOG Galaxy to Linux. Thankfully unlike Steam, GOG being DRM-free means I get a choice in having their launcher on my desktop, but I’d bet (especially with an exodus from Windows of people who aren’t as techy) a lot of people would like that convenience.

I’ve run dozens of GOG games on my Steam Deck without issue. Proton has come a long way.
