Scientists in France have identified a new blood type. This blood type is called 'Gwada negative'. It is found in a 68-year-old woman from Guadeloupe. Her blood reacted to all known donor types. Genetic sequencing revealed a unique mutation. She can only receive her own blood. Researchers are searching for others with this rare blood type in the Caribbean.
