Fascism is here, now, in America. That is undeniable. And fascism has never, ever in history, just given up and gone home when asked. It has ALWAYS required force. A lot of people probably aren’t ready to hear this, but the only way this ends is with bloodshed. Probably a lot.
Unless you have other ideas. The only other one I can think of is a general strike. Shutting the country completely down until our demands are met. But that requires the type of solidarity you wouldn’t even see in a functional society, which we are not. So that’s not a realistic option.
And please spend time each week practicing with them.
They’re always loaded, pointed in the safest direction you can, finger off the trigger until you’re ready to fire, and before it goes on the trigger know what you’re shooting at and what’s around it.
Because I’m interested in history and history has shown us that force is the singular way to get rid of fascism once it takes hold.
The further we get into this, the more likely it is for the fascists to try to limit the purchase of firearms because that poses a threat to them. You’d think that would enrage their base, but not only will they have enough power not to care by then, but they’ll probably propagandize their base into thinking it’s a good thing.
Buy guns. Buy ammo. Help those close to you do the same. Start training with them.
