Google and all the other big data brokers are already doing this, why is this a big surprise. If I so cared and had the money for it I could get all that information to.

How do you think the ad market works? If I wanted to advertise to X person that is very possible, how is this possible, you are giving off so much data all the time. I promise you that even though I am very careful with my internet hygiene; like using a separate email for everything, a pihole as my DNS to block ads and trackers, a vpn into my LAN, and then other apps to block tracking for other things the ad market can still profit off of me and my internet behaviours I just make it very damn hard. ICE however also has the telco data making it even easier; they talk to Google or whomever say they are looking for immigrants then they link that data with phone data and boom bam done capitalism hard at work.

Allow me to disagree. Am well involved in making those technologies and well aware of the internals of cell networks. This is not what Android does, during the recent updates it has strengthened the ability to detect cell spoofing etc. Your phone literally will tell you that there is a fake cell tower around. Have you disabled 2G fallback? I guess no, good guy Google did it for you.

Cell tech aside, your actions, even remarkable based on the average person, leave quite a lot to the advertisers.

Have you spoofed the imu of your device? Or the brightness? Or maybe you visit websites asynchronously? Or maybe your IoT devices are isolated? And your smart tv is on an isolated vlan? Or is your phone location spoofed while you have a vpn enabled? Same for Bluetooth background scanning? Are you sure your neighbor’s WiFis do not retransmit your mac? And your car is always offline? And your modem/router does not have isp admin account? How about your imei, spoofed? Do you authenticate to your wifi using radius? Background phone processes are always killed and no auto-started on boot or other events? Want to discuss maybe your neighborhood cameras and if they include you and your car? How about webgl and canvas in your browser, disabled? Which DNS are you using while on vpn? How do you protect yourself from CDN fingerprinting? Have you checked your browser fingerprint? Do you know how easy it is to be identified if you only have reduced privacy in 3 of those?

Privacy is a joke in 2025.

I do not think you are disagreeing with me. I know that there is little you can do to protect yourself for privacy. Privacy was a mirage of the late Twentieth century.

I use wireguard to get into my LAN so the cell network knows where my phone is at all times. I am doing my best to separate everything from Apple but I am forced to keep somethings to communicate with family.

Most of my IoT is separated into a vlan, I do not use any of the “smart” things on my TV. When I saw how much data it was sending when I first started using my pihole I reset it and made sure it was not connected to the internet. It removeded and complained until I figured out how to turn that feature off completely.

I use unbound as my DNS, and I have it look at cira privacy for its DNS. I am well aware that I am being followed and being sold but I damn near will try hard to hide.

I also live in a condo (advertisers do not like condos or rentals, I very briefly worked in the field), I have a no flyers sticker in my mailbox as I want to avoid the influence of those ads.
