game literacy (as in game design / systems analysis) is quite practically similar to employing critical theory and historical materialist analysis, and this becomes even more overlapped when you get into the economics of things like pay2win, labor practices related to ‘crunch’, releasing buggy games early, etc
this is not to say that all g*mers automatically get a pair of ideology glasses right away (or even eventually), but the persuasion of them to that type of understanding of analysis has less friction over time
just look at the pre-teens that have done this type of work related to the abusive structures of Roblox for instance
