Either virtual court appearances are allowed or they’re not. I find it highly dubious that they’re targeting these individuals for utilizing procedures that are allowed by policy/law (not sure which). Hell, I was subpoenaed as a witness in a civil case in December and was given the choice of virtual or in person attendance. Of course, I chose virtual, and there were very simple rules to follow.
