Wonder if he’s dyslexic. That would explain why he doesn’t read. Dad had reverse dyslexia and would sign his name like that, lots and lots of random Qs. His name was Bob.
OTOH, his reading speed and comprehension were unmatched by anyone I’ve ever known, and I’m no slouch myself. In a single Saturday afternoon he plowed 3 light sci-fi books to my 1. Didn’t believe it, questioned him. Yep, he could talk about any plot points I brought up.
