With the Democratic Party struggling to find a new direction, former President Joe Biden and former first lady Jill Biden have offered to jump in and help with fundraising and rebuilding.
It was also practically non-existent in the most recent Democratic campaign, but this guy still wants to scapegoat it as the cause of our doom. Somehow I’m not confident his concept of “true leftists” really do hold this as a core principle when it’s a priority to purge them for expediency at the first opportunity.
It’s almost exactly the message of the shitty centrists just with a left (trust me bro) window dressing and both deserve the same amount of respect. They’re just being practical.
LGBT, woke, and immigrant issues are amplified by those in power to get more votes on the right, and distract from the most important issues: oligarchy and wealthy elites who are exploiting the poor and working class.
This doesn’t mean these issues aren’t important, they are. They’re just used to distract from what’s more important, and energize bigots who end up supporting the right.
Roe was decided in 1973. Still not codified. We finally got civil rights, but nominally and look what happened to that – backpedaling. Marriage equality finally happened, now we have targets on trans backs. DACA? 😶

If the left could run on everything that United unites everyone, while quietly working in the background like the heritage foundation and teaparty have been since JFK that got us where we are today, maybe it would work. The Democratic party were not doing that, though. They were just playing controlled opposition.
Assuming we can still have elections, this may be a workable idea. I guess when press prods, an evasive “right now we have a lot of damage to undo” may work. Then just start un/doing everything by executive order. Thing is, leftys are suspicious af after watching what the Dems did and didn’t do since FDR. It would be a hail Mary for sure and may very well backfire big-time.
