GOG has launched the Freedom to Buy initiative, offering delisted or controversial games for free to protest silent censorship and promote access to legal, responsibly made titles.
I used to live in Tucson, I knew a couple guys at Running with Scissors and yeah this doesn’t surprise me. Dudes are pros at getting their names out there free of charge. When there’s any sort of controversy of even the slightest thing in the games industry they WILL try and slap Postal on it. it works. they’ve been around for like 30 years now and have made like what? 4 postal games? and then remastered the others a few times that they had other devs work on. Completely independent too. They’re not a huge company but everyone that works for them has been comfortable without much effort for some time now.

Maybe giving away the old game is their way of advertising for the remake of postal 2
