It was showing in my area so I went there with a couple of friends.

It’s such a good movie, from the very first one-take shot with the feather and the soundtrack playing, to the end after all the events that happen to the main character.

The movies is quite long (2h20), but there’s always something happening.

Acting is as solid as we remembered it.

It definitely aged well.

I enjoyed it a lot too. It’s crazy how immersive it feels for anyone across the globe even when it has such particularly American locations.

I went to the movies to see it when it first came to the theater. I didn’t know anything about it except that it was a new Tom Hanks movie with good reviews (this was pre internet days). We lived in rural Georgia, and drove over to Savannah to have dinner and see it. When he said, “and that’s what I’m doing here in Savannah, Georgia,” my wife and I looked at one another with a freaked out look! He’s here too?!?

One of my all-time favorite movies. Maybe its time for my 50th watch!
