Everyone should have peeled themselves away from apple a long time ago for price alone not to mention the right to repair bullshit, the last apple product I bought was an iPod in 2010

I’ve hated Apple for a long time.

Apple has been nothing but proprietary garbage since they started. It’s only gotten worse. We also need to be boycotting Microsoft for their support of Israel. The only ethical choice is Linux and we need to be very careful at this trecherous time about who is adding code to the Kernel. We can’t be risking code submitted by Isreali developers and any code submitted from US developers needs to be gone over with a fine toothed comb. I do trust Linus Torvalds to make mostly good decisions. He has clapped back at a lot of the right wing people that have been attracted to open source software over the last few years. At the end of the day, I consider open source to be a successful implementation of anarchist principles, though it’s not even largely anarchists involved. If people thought of it as anarchist, there would probably be a lot of projects nobody would have released as open source. That said, a project like Linux that stands largely because of the principals held by one person is likely to have problems when, for whatever reason, that person ends their involvement with the project. Everything related to technology has gotten really precarious lately. Like somebody said above, all corporations are fascist. It’s true. We should be very measured about what we buy, knowing that every purchase we make strengthens some fascist or other somewhere. Only buy things you absolutely need. Nobody absolutely needs Apple products.
