Because so many people around me kept saying my problems come from the medication (blood thinners), I went to see my dr again last week to ask about stopping the thinners entirely and see if that helped with my symptoms.

The issue is it’s very much not recommended to stop the thinners. I need them for life.

So we agreed to try low-mol heparin for 10 days instead of stopping cold turkey, which is a different mechanism than what I usually take.

But I’m on day 8 today and honestly it’s even worse than my usual medication lol. I’m supposed to be doing this for 3 more days incl. today but I’m going to stop. I’m constantly nauseous and can’t do anything. I can barely even put stuff in the dishwasher or take it out.

I’m not sure what that tells me about my symptoms lol. Personally since the embolism was ‘unprovoked’ (meaning they didn’t find a cause) I think the nausea and the PE share the same(ish) common source. I don’t think it’s PE -> caused nausea, but something -> caused PE and nausea.

A PE is serious. I hope you contact your care provider asap regarding these issues.

Thank you. I’ve been seeing drs basically since these symptoms started and every exam comes back negative, as far as doctors can tell there is technically nothing wrong with me… but i still have symptoms lol

Could it be you are going through detox which is making it worse? maybe if you push through it’ll get better?
