I was confident Jimmy Smits would have done anything to reprise his role.
I assume he’ll have a bigger role in the next chunk of episodes since the cameo was so small. It doesn’t make sense to give the character a wink if it isn’t the original actor.
That being said Benjamin Bratt makes for a good Bail Organa.

I hate that this season is rushing through multiple years. We haven’t seen any indications yet that Organa is part of the rebellion.
That might be on purpose. It seems like Bail doesn’t use Luthen and his network, so we’re just not seeing what Bail is up to.
The story of Andor is Andor and his connections. Luthen, Mon Mothma, etc.
The Dantooine rebel base for example, we know little about it, maybe that’s where Bail has been focusing his efforts and resources.
Of course I also want more high quality Star Wars, so I hope we get more to fill in this era in the future (and I’m sure we will).
