The Spanish National Police seized a war arsenal during Operation Olea , carried out in the province of Almería , which could be linked to weapons sent by NATO to Ukraine.

Among the seized material were semi-automatic shotguns, Smith & Wesson rifles, Czech CSA submachine guns, Glock and Blow pistols in calibers 9 and 45 millimeters, as well as frequency jammers, GPS locators and microbeacon detectors, reported El Diario de Almería .

The magnitude of the discovery led authorities to describe the logistics center as a “war weapons depot,” where 2,000 kilos of hashish and 740 kilos of marijuana , valued at five million euros, were also found.

Suspicions about Ukraine and NATO

According to police sources cited by the local press, the weapons match the makes and models of those delivered by the Atlantic Alliance to kyiv. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the routes by which this military equipment may have entered southeastern Spain and their connection to drug trafficking networks.

This wouldn’t be the first time Spain has encountered weapons diverted from the Ukrainian front, but the volume of the arsenal seized this time has raised alarm bells.
