Just in time to release on old hardware, then resell it again for next gen consoles coming that fall.

My thumb of rule for anything announced by AAA-studios: Release date + 1 year.
And it almost never went wrong.
And for R*: Announced + 1 year extension + 1-2 years for PC release

I’m not happy about this, but I also know the track record of GTA and RDR2. Have played every single GTA throughout the years.

It’s worth the wait imo. It’ll be the only GTA we have till about 2036 or longer. So let them finish it up.

Grand Theft Auto delayed?! 😱 I don’t even know how to react considering this has never happened on any of their previous releases…

It’d be interesting to see a developer create a slightly prettier version of Vice City. I appreciate the visuals of the later GTA games but doing more with less seems like it’d make sense. The gap between these games is getting rather nuts.

Then again, “forever” games seem to print money, and that’s more important than creative expression. As I get older I have a greater appreciation for games that don’t try to outstay their welcome. GTA V seemed to struggle with this - on the one hand it was huge, on the other the story seemed to be about half the length it telegraphed itself as. What’s the point in being able to level up the stats of heist crew if there’s not enough for it to matter, etc…

(In my opinion, obviously) GTA IV was too long, San Andreas was a sprawling mess, but Vice City was the sweet spot.

I can’t shake this two feelings I have for GTA 6. It’s going to be the last good GTA. The other one is, it’s going to suck.

At what point can it not be improved anymore?
      We might get…
      Very good graphics
A solid driving KI (that wont crash into you on purpose)
      Interesting environment

At that point only the story can make the difference and that is just at random.

I hope this is true and not some misinterpretation of someone saying: It MAY release 26. Yes, 2026.
