The plot and action was fine, good for turn your brain off trash, but the shota was a bit much.
Hell yeah, found this show super fun :3 And the animation was also so pretty.
Looking forward to this. I know everyone hates on the MC for how they look, but I absolutely love how maniacal and single minded he is about magic and how his power plays in to that. And then there’s his maid.

Wrong. The original light novel had him drawn male. The mangaka took tons of creative liberties in his adaptation, like the design, or even the fight scenes, and their version was more successful, so the anime is based on the manga. But he was still always male to begin with.

What kind of world are we living in where this shota shit gets renewed but other shows don’t.
In the case of this show specifically, it was the studio’s first ever show and ended up being way more popular than I think was anticipated. I wrote a bit about it in the clip post I made, but being a new studio, their production process is really different than most other studios out there, relying heavily on Unreal Engine. So, a lot of the effects, environments, camera, etc. were very dynamic, much more so than typical isekai fare. It was a fascinating watch from that perspective.
Same goes for the manga with its beautiful coloured pages. For some reason seven prince just attracts a greater production quality than it deserves.
