MDK (1997) on PSX.
A wild third-person shooter loaded with humor and packed with style.
This one’s personal. My family’s very first new computer—no hand-me-downs, no beige box relic—was the Bondi blue iMac, first generation. And it shipped with MDK.
I lost countless hours in that game. For 1997, it was jaw-dropping—smooth, stylish, and the first time I realized Macs could actually be great gaming machines. But that iMac wasn’t mine, it was my parents’, and eventually I had to let it go.
Years later, I picked it up again on PlayStation. Still great, but you notice the jaggies, the less-than-smooth framerate. The Mac port just had that extra shine.
Even so, MDK remains top-tier—right up there with Shiny’s other classic, Earthworm Jim.
