Funny how the same people who shout “muh freedumz!” in response to getting a vaccine or simply NOT LITTERING are the same people who try to invoke that other people are bound by some moral code to help them.
“Civic duty”? Even any fantasies of that existing died when environmental concerns grew and a large amount of the country whined on how that would interrupt their consumerism, so they just couldn’t be bothered.
I wouldn’t mind volunteering to pick crops…if the food I pick will be given away for free.
Done this before at a nonprofit with a pay-what-you-can stand. Nice way to spend 4 hours outside and you get a little workout in. Fucking ruled lmao.
