I finally finished the Hitman reboot series the last couple of weeks and have been playing some of the extra modes packed in with it, specifically ‘Escalation.’

Basically you play on one of the big complicated maps but are going after just random people, so usually you don’t have to get to the highest security areas. Instead it layers restrictions and objectives on you, like “kill this person while wearing this costume with that weapon.” And when you succeed you go on to the next round with even more stuff, like “Now kill this other guy with a different costume and oh by the way you can’t knock anyone out.”

It very quickly goes from cakewalk to super challenge but with the iteration it feels manageable
