        Most developed nations have a minimum of 6 months paid parental leave and reduced, if not free, costs on early childcare. America is a joke

      It can cover the additional costs of being pregnant, assuming you have health coverage, keeping you from dropping into poverty

      Many many insurance plans provide free birth control for women and pretty much any planned parenthood gives out free contraceptives for both men and women.

    I feel like there’s some unnecessary editorializing being done in the headline.

    “Pays” is such a weird way of saying “providing a minimum of after-natal care for people that society generally doesn’t care about.” Sounds like a roundabout way of referencing the mythical “welfare queens.”
