Should we boycott them because they’re using the US company AWS as hosts and not an European alternative?
The fact is AWS is cheapest and most convenient option.
In this case boycotting liberapay will only create trouble for a non-profit IMO.
Isn’t it better to work on viable (as easily accessible, as cheap and as reliable) alternatives to AWS?
We can also ask them to switch to an european alternative to AWS.
Unlike AWS, Liberapay is not ‘big tech’.
That usually means you can talk to them.
