We need to start talking about how interior lineman are clearly trying to draw leverage penalties to the point that I think we need to change the rule. Cuz I watch this penalty that Texans just got on them for leverage on that field goal attempt and the guard never moved he stayed bent over with his hands on the ground the entire time. Clearly teams are teaching people to do this nowadays.
I’m not quite ready for fully obnoxious DUUUVALLLs yet, but a cautiously optimistic “DUVALLL?” might be warranted. Just gotta get the receivers to hold onto the freakin’ ball, and we can start having the appropriate conversation about Trevor Lawrence, namely, whether he hits the original meaning of the Dalton Line: the worst quarterback who’s still good enough that you build around him long-term.
