I kept telling myself to trust the process while inking this. The process was “Do what Bernie Wrightson would do.”

Clearly I’m not Bernie but at least I got it done.

I love this so much! And the difference between penciled and inked is really inspiring. Like I can kind of see how I could do that if I had the hand and the patience.

You used a ruler for the guiding lines?

A discard page from the sketchbook that I do all my " I should test this before I wreck this" ink work on. I hope one day to be able to afford a ruler in my kit.

I’m seriously that poor right now. I can’t use a regular ruler because it’s got to fit in my art bag which is only 9 in tall on the inside So I have to buy a ruler. And of course if you’re going to buy an art roller, you want to get one that’s metal and not going to break in the bag. And it’s going to have to have a good cork backing. And quite frankly that’s $5. I can’t spend right now.

Put it that way, I get it. I suppose my problem is I sometimes spend money I don’t have, but then the bills come and o nooo…
