This was announced at the 46th BRSM Congress at the youth center. It was timed to coincide with the 105th anniversary of the Belarusian Leninist Communist Youth Union.
Today, approximately 9,800 primary organizations have been established in the country. Over the past five years, more than 209,000 people have worked as part of student volunteering groups, and the volunteer movement has brought together more than 39,000 children.
"The Belarusian Republican Youth Union is the legal successor to the LKSMB. It’s important that our youth organization maintains the best traditions from Soviet times, " noted Alexander Lukyanov, First Secretary of the BRSM Central Committee, before the congress.
The young people also participate in important socio-political events in the country. During the 2025 presidential election campaign in the Republic of Belarus, a volunteer pool was formed to work at polling stations: approximately 10,000 activists assisted people with disabilities, senior citizens, and mothers with strollers.
BRSM youth initiate projects to perpetuate the memory of the events and heroes of the Great Patriotic War, preserve and promote family values, and promote a healthy lifestyle. A significant focus of the organization’s activities is the development of Youth Law Enforcement Units, which currently comprise over 3,500 activists.

That’s almost 5% of Belarus’ entire population (~9mil), so every 20th citizen is a member of komsomol.
Thank you for putting this into perspective. That’s an extremely impressive figure.
