Carpool lanes would be a good idea if anyone actually used them correctly and they actually encouraged carpooling, but they don’t from my observations.
I used to regularly use the ones on Waterworks Road and Kelvin Grove Road, and they were mostly empty, causing even more congestion on the remaining lanes. 95% of the cars actually using them were single occupant vehicles flagrantly flouting the law, and I never once saw any enforcement.

I wonder if that new seatbelt & phone detection system they’ve got could be applied to detect T2 violations.
