Bit weird to see him talking about how it’s better now, but Obsidian’s last isometric CRPG was published in 2018 and I really don’t see Microsoft, their new owners, greenlighting a CRPG in the vein of Pillars of Eternity in the future.
The second they sold to microsoft was the second they were done trying to make good computer games. Now they’re just trying to make profitable computer games.
Yeah, I’ve pretty much given up on Obsidian, their recent releases feel a bit too generic from my taste.
