Sometimes you can at least get some understanding through context clues. I’ve laughed at some of the German memes they share.

I feel like the German memes are the easiest to understand of the memes in languages I don’t speak.

I am surprised at how much of the french posts I understand through cognates and my entry level spanitalian knowledge.

I probably butchered it since I’m mostly self-taught from reading my German friends chatswith no context most of the time, but I was trying to say I’m too high to learn German. But I’m guessing I messed up my idioms

Ich lerne Deutsch gern, aber es ist teuer oder nicht einfach. Any recommended resources would be appreciated.

I recently switched from Duolingo to LingoDeer. It’s much more structured, and I’d certainly recommend it if you’re willing to spend money on a learning app
