I grow a lot of mine and hunt when I can. Apart from paying way more, dealing with all the things you deal with grocery shopping is a thousand times worse.
Do you normally start from seed? Do you try to keep seeds from previous years? I tend to just collect herb seeds because they’re quite simple. (Cilantro, basil, mint)
Bit of everything,. For seasonal stuff I go for a seedling shop when I think the season’s shifting. Otherwise, seeds. I usually turn up the beds for anything seasonal and try something else for variety, so often aren’t keeping seeds. Things like herbs mostly all survive all year round so are permanent residents.
