It looks like the spat between India and Pakistan could be dying down, due to a new ceasefire. As of the time of me writing this paragraph, it seems both sides want to maintain it (despite some reports of violations here and there).

Both sides have declared victory, which is completely expected given their mutual political parties and nationalist histories. It’s a little harder to say which side has actually won, as both sides seem to have managed to shoot down aircraft and hit military bases. India has, in my opinion, had the more embarrassing moments, but international conflicts aren’t cringe compilations. I feel no good-will towards Pakistan’s comprador government, but it is at least nice to see Modi knocked down a few pegs. Regardless of the final technical victor, it’s obvious that - if the ceasefire is maintained - who won are the hundreds of millions of people who won’t have to live in fear of dying in nuclear hellfire.

This conflict is a good example of what multipolarity will truly entail. Countries that have been previously limited in their nationalist ambitions by American pressure will now take opportunities to revolt, sometimes against America itself, and sometimes against other countries in their regional neighbourhood. It’s also why, as communists, our goals do not stop at multipolarity; it is merely the establishing act of a new era of agitation against peripheral and semi-peripheral capitalist countries that are forming powerful national bourgeoisie classes as the international American capitalists are forced away.

Ukraine , a land with very few problems , has Hungary currently amass its Army on his western borders now. Region of Carparthia in Ukraine is ethiniclly Hungarian and Ukraine Drafted extensivly from there . Also some days ago Ukraine security services made some raids against “Hungarian Sympathisants” there. So he can assume people there would rather be in Hungary. Some play might start there soon. or its just to try to draw some Units from the east to the west , to overextend Ukraine even more.

theres a Fun Joke about this Place that might now soon get an Addition.

I’d assume Ukraine despite being outmatched by Russia would inflict horrific casualties on the untested and smaller Hungarian military

In fact if the Ukrainians went wild, I could see them easily pulling a 2014 ISIS-style offensive on Poland and Central Europe and making it all the way to the outskirts of Warsaw and Budapest, a military capable of continuously holding a 1200km attritional front with the likes of Russia poses a grave danger to the poorly performing militaries of liberal Europe

I’ve said this before but Europe is creating a monster in Ukraine, one that is rapidly heading towards “nothing to lose” territory

This is one of the deepest contradictions liberals are expected to swallow in the war.

That NATO had no plans to attack Russia, but that somehow Ukraine was powerful enough to challenge the entirety of Russia.

They built up a monstrously powerful military full of diehard nationalists, all while pretending Ukraine is a small weak country that proves Russia is pathetically weak due to their failure to conquer Ukraine in 3 days.

Ukraine would sweep over most European nations and could easily make a challenge for control of East Europe in its 2022 state.

I’d only visualize something like this occurring if the Ukrainian military still has strategic reserves to deploy to such a theoretical second front while maintaining their current defensive lines. Like I can imagine if they were to allocate the more NATO trained and orientated forces they keep on reserve and the nazi paramilitaries they may have enough manpower and armaments to push out a theoretical Hungarian incursion.

This is not even taking into account terrain difficulties between hungary and Ukraine. If hungary chose to just march over the border and take the small strip of land before the Ukrainian Carpathians and move forward their anti-air systems into the occupied strip and make mountain chokepoints, Ukraine would be hard fucking pressed to take it back.

      • yep - probably the most lethal force around , thinking abou it - maybe its some wierd - " lets use ukraine to invade Hungary to toppel Orban that blockades our Insane Policies against russia… " - insanity Plan of the EU & Hungary tries to preempt.

It was only a matter of time. If Hungary manages to pull it off, then expect other vultures to feast on the dying carcass that is the Ukrainian state. Especially since the “international sanctity of borders” type of liberal imperialism is on its way out.

Given the current geopolitical situation, I wouldn’t be surprised if NATO just outright refused to help Hungary if they declared war on Ukraine. Fuck the charter, everything is vibes now

So there’s nothing about this in Hungarian media, and the Hungarian liberals are very keen to prove that Orban wants war against Ukraine. With that said with the current scandal I wouldn’t be surprised if they sent a couple of tanks to the Ukrainian border, hardly a massive military presence though. Any state would be idiotic not to deploy additional forces to its border with a nation currently at war.

There was an air force military exercise happening lately, and there was this:

However, there is a unanimous opinion that what is happening is part of a months-long intelligence game, parts of which have already become public. Our sources also attribute to this same game the incident that happened last week but was not publicized: the Hungarian Defense Forces’ radar in Tokaj detected drones flying into Hungary, one of which was shot down. The Hungarians suspect that the drones came from Ukraine.

          and this:

However, our sources maintain that a Ukrainian intelligence operation did indeed occur, and after Hungarian national security agencies leaked this information, the Ukrainian services began to feel the pressure. We understand that they have mobilized significant resources to uncover the sources who are providing information to the Hungarian services.

Given that Hungarian counterintelligence has also been extremely active against Ukrainian intelligence recently, our sources do not rule out the possibility that the Ukrainians carried out a so-called “preemptive strike” with Friday’s announcement, meaning they struck first. The operation appears pre-planned and well-coordinated, as our information suggests that when the Hungarian leadership was informed about it on Friday morning, the international media had already sent them questions.

Considering that in these kinds of intelligence games, both sides, Ukrainian and Hungarian, may have an interest in discrediting the other or engaging in disinformation, these stories are particularly susceptible to requiring a high degree of skepticism when evaluating information. However, it is clear that there is serious tension between the services of the two countries, and in recent times, more Ukrainian intelligence officers than before have been detected in Hungary. “There will likely be a response to the Ukrainians’ recent move,” our sources said.

So there’s nothing about this in Hungarian media

there is never much in Media about Military movements , especially if its the own countries Military Moving Internally. You can pic a better word then “amass” - its not like i now the numbers - but Hungary has only a few tanks (140 MBT) and has stationed Armor in Záhony, Beregsurány, Tiszabecs, Barabás und Nagybodósz apperently - so i consider Amass the right choice of word.

there is never much in Media about Military movements

No, it’s just strange because this is very much in the news cycle right now, the opposition leader is saying Orban secretly wants war with Ukraine, and Orban’s party accusing the opposition leader to be an inside man for both the EU and the Ukrainian secret service

Like this is very much the top story right now this espionage angle, but then this espionage angle is about whether the Hungarian state did any preparations in order to invade Transcarpathia, so I’m pretty sure the Hungarian liberal/opposition media would jump on the fact that the Hungarian army is doing anything out of the ordinary at the border. (And they did cover the drone being shot down)

And the sources you’ve posted is a noname twitter handle, who retweeted an Ukrainian OSINT tweet and a Greek newspaper. For all we know the original Ukrainian OSINT tweet is actually the Ukrainian secret service planting the story themselves

              edit:

I’ve opened the link again, and the source is not OSINT but Euromaidan itself. Before I was like 20% sure it was a planted story by the SBU, now I’m more like 90%

so its Ukrainian Media- Fudd to give the opposition a Push ? Tank movements are Fake ? - whats the play here ? I dont think Ukraine is much interested in having to deploy into transnistria , nor can hungary expect to take transnistria - or make a move - something else needs to happen first , transcarpian seperatist declaring a republic or something… , maybe its the other way around with ukraine arming some Gladio-esque groups in Hungary… (probably viewed as an enemy state by Ukraine now- maybe even encouraged from the west) …

                  Tank movements are Fake

We’ve seen like two tanks on a street? Where are they, and where are they heading?

The footage might be real, but the narrative around it: “Hungary is actively working towards the potential invasion of Transcarpathia” that’s 100% part of the espionage game that became public last week

                  give the opposition a Push

Every opposition party in Hungary is pro-Nato basically, so yes, Ukraine doesn’t want the Hungarians to impede the EU in giving billions to Ukraine
