    I really hope Mamdani wins.

If only for the meltdown the democrats are going to have internally. It would mean AIPAC Israeli lobby is not omnipotent in American politics

The left just doesn’t know how to react, and they’re not learning.

“That’s racist, that’s islamophobic, you can’t say that!!11!”, while absolutely true, is the wrong response.

They are baiting for this response, so that they can whip up their audience with the usual rhetoric of “calling it like it is, being cancelled, snowflakes” blablabla.

The correct response is “CUOMO’S DESPERATE”. “He’s getting destroyed so he’s grasping at straws!”, etc.

Don’t stoop down to fight a pig in the mud, you’re gonna lose.

I don’t think saying “he’s desperate” matters, who cares if he’s desperate? That’s horse-race politics.

Their misstep, here, is to call it “disqualifying” as if being racist and Islamophobic weren’t requirements for most of New York’s history.

It’s not disqualifying, it’s proof that he is the enemy and he must be crushed. He wants to drag New York backwards and that makes him an existential threat. Don’t whine about the rules or decorum, highlight the danger and promise to destroy it.

This, and also to point incessantly to Schumer and Jeffries implicitly supporting the enemy by refusing to endorse Mamdani. We need to tie Cuomo around their necks as he goes overboard.

EDIT: LOL, Jefferies just did a last minute endorsement now that it’s 100% clear Mamdani has it wrapped up. No, we are not going to forget.

Highlight the danger and promise to destroy it” is absolutely useless. You’re letting the narrative be dictated by the other side, you’re jumping head first into a mud pool to fight a hog and not only do you expect to win, you think you won’t even get dirty.

Mamdani is winning because, thankfully, he’s much smarter than that. He’s throwing punches against stuff that people hate and personally affects them.

Mamdani is winning because he promises to give people things that they want: affordable housing, affordable groceries, affordable childcare, etc. Real, material change that will improve lives.

But we need to be able to identify our enemies, and know how to hate them. It’s a powerful motivating tool.

Don’t get in the mud with the pigs. Grab a hatchet.
