The Real Mackenzies is a Scottish-Canadian Celtic Rock band from Vancouver, British Columbia. The Band is centered around one Paul Mackenzie, who is the only original band member from its inception in 1992.

The band features strong Celtic influences first and foremost, as well as a steep sense of tongue-in-cheek humour that the Scottish are known for. The band is largely known for starting the Canadian Celtic Punk scene, a scene which I did not know existed until Spotify randomly played this song for me a month ago. However, I think it is one of my most favourite niche genres of Canadian music now.

The band is still active and performing to this day.
