Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) on Monday said he will not be intimidated by the Pentagon’s investigation into ā€œserious allegations of misconductā€ against him after he called for U.S. military service members to disobey any illegal orders handed down by the Trump administration.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth earlier in the day announced the Pentagon would conduct a ā€œthorough reviewā€ of allegations against the Arizona senator, who was one of six Democratic lawmakers who appeared in a video that infuriated the Trump administration.

Kelly, a retired Navy captain, pointed to his lengthy military career and disputed that he did anything to merit the review.
