Just a question, would raising a 6 year old to believe that he is the reincarnation of the Buddha be considered child abuse? If so, why wouldn’t the FBI put the child/family in witness protection if there was a sect of people conspiring to abuse this child?

Grooming means targeting youth somehow ? I thought it had sexual overtones. Is there a sexual component in the process ? WP’s disambiguation page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groom_(disambiguation)#Grooming) lists this : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexual_grooming

          From that article :

Before the term “grooming” was associated with grooming a child for sexual abuse, it had come to have a meaning of mentorship, coaching, or preparing someone for leadership.

This is what you’re referring to ?

Because they are forcing a child into a lifetime job position which they have no understanding of or ability to give informed consent, ripping them away from their family and an ability to have a normal childhood or life
