For all the Lord Mayor’s ‘clean, green and sustainable’ credentials, claiming a temporary cyclist and pedestrian lane would cause widespread traffic issues is just code for ‘must not mildly inconvenience single-occupant vehicles’, in case anyone needed reminding of Council’s priorities.

Friendly reminder to go and sign the official petition to use one of the six lanes on the bridge as a temporary pedestrian and cycle path while the dedicated paths are closed indefinitely.
