You kinda have to give any American sitcom at least half a season before you can really judge it. They pretty much all start out rubbish and it’s only when the actors grow into the roles can you tell if it’s actually gonna be good.

FWIW Brooklyn 99 was very much an ensemble comedy by the time it got going rather than primarily focusing on Samberg, even though he was still ostensibly the lead role.

I tried. I like all the actors, but Sandberg and just couldn’t do it. I’d rather rewatch scrubs or the office again.

Sorry I just said that because you said you couldn’t get through the first episode—I don’t think I’d have thought it was any good if that was all I saw either. The standard American sitcom rule I follow is 4-6 episodes before I can really tell if it’s actually gonna work, until that point the characters usually come across as 1 dimensional even if it ends up being good.

But fair play regardless, everyone likes different stuff!

No I get it. It took a few tries to get started in the office and in the wire also. I just don’t have the time anymore to wade through stuff that I just don’t really care for.

Right but just because you personally didn’t like it doesn’t mean it isn’t a good comedy. I understand that you are now saying it’s not something you personally care for, but your original comment was stating that it being bad was objectively true. Like, I can say that I think The Simpsons is a bad comedy, and I could provide a bunch of data to back it up but I can’t say that The Simpsons is a bad comedy, because how did it get to 36 seasons in counting if people weren’t enjoying it?

Bro wtf are you talking about. You can try to break down my opinion if you want, who fucking cares.

I said “it was not very funny to me” how much more subjective can I be? I never said it was a bad show, I literally voiced my opinion. You need to go back and re-read.
