Ecosia uses both Google and Bing for their results. It’s not an actual search engine, just a proxy. They also use OpenAI for their chatbot.

I’m surprised Vivaldi isn’t suggested in the browser section, makes me wonder what else they missed that I don’t happen to know of already
Personally I don’t like the fact that Vivaldi is not open source. Yes it’s European but I don’t want to go back to proprietary browsers.
Oh right, I forgot about that! That’s probably why. At least its source code is transparent, better than nothing I suppose!
