Most of them overlook the simple fact (or probably just don’t wanna acknowledge) that the prices of goods in the first world will go up if the material conditions and in these overexploited countries in the imperial periphery improve.

It’s like we just decided there two different meaning for “leftist” just because there’s so few of them in the west. Liberals aren’t left. Like what are we supposed to call actual “leftists” in the west then? If someone has the same ideals as an “international leftists” and is in the west, what the fuck are they? Just a leftist? A leftist that exists in the west? It’s getting very tiring. If someone is spouting liberal nonsense and calls themselves a leftist, then they are an idiot and/or lying.
This is why i have mostly stopped using the term leftist and now just distinguish between liberals and socialists. The two are fundamentally incompatible and so should not be lumped in together. It is much clearer what is meant when we say socialist as opposed to the vague “leftist” label. (And by socialist i mostly mean communist, but socialist is just a more palatable term for the normies, and since the goal of socialism is communism anyway i just use the two fully interchangeably in casual discourse.)
