This alone was a major reason the left should have backed Kamala.
I’ve heard the endless stream of reasons why she was a shitty candidate and person, and I agree with all of them.
Counter Point: the total abolition of any and all climate regulations from the fascists will kill everyone.
Just think if we have presidential elections in a few years those same people will have to be convinced to vote for Newsome or Harris as the DNC presidential candidate. We can hope for an actual lefty or progressive but the DNC and MSM won’t let it happen. They will shove their corpotoast right of center shit bag down voters throats regardless and that will be the person on the ballot.
I was disappointed having to vote for Harris but I will be down right fuming pissed having to vote for Newsome.

The 2020 Primaries proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that boycotting the election, and going against “vote blue no matter who” in a BINARY PARTY SYSTEM WHERE THE ALTETNATIVE IS ALWAYS FASCISM is asinine and doesn’t work out in any respect.
The DNC (and majority of DNC primary voters) picked Biden. Why? Because when people are put in a state of extreme desperation, such as living under a fascist leader, they pick whoever they feel is their safest bet.
Do you know who people are rallying behind, because they feel they’re the safest bet? Israel loving, lefty hating Gavin Newsome.
Is it because the people hate progressive politics?

Is it because under the fascist rule of the GOP people have gotten justifiably scared and desperate and they see Newsome as the safest name to rally behind?
YES.
The strategy of infiltrating the DNC with progressives was slow, but it was actually working.
When alleged progressives tank the DNC with the delusion that it’ll convince them to move left, we end up with more neo-liberals and more hostility to the left within the DNC.
Oh yeah, and we also end up losing our democracy to fascists so their stupid fucking little election boycott falls flat on its ass in everything they thought it’d accomplished.
I agree with you 100%. I just don’t think the people who boycotted the last election will have learned anything/enough to vote for Newsome or Harris if it comes down to it. Especially if they want to “just move forward” and not investigate the ever loving shit out of the Trump administration and hold people accountable
