I was near a US embassy today and there was an “Iran protest”. But it primarily consisted of brand new flags, and mass printed signs which either praised the US for having troops in their country or said “MIGA”… It didn’t make any sense.
The 12k dead line was placed unironically next to a made up low-balled death toll for Gaza as if it was comparable.
There were israel flags as well in the crowd.
Also the police seemed to keep a much more respectful distance compared to the times I was there for Palestine marches. Also no drones overhead.
For every life that the US destabilizes and destroys, I hope Americans have to face shit 10 times worse in comparison.
Could anyone give me a short explanation of what is going on there? I open Reddit and read that 12k are dead and I immediately doubt but I also see body bags everywhere which make me question that, but I also can’t tell if it’s a colour revolution or people actually standing up to an opressive regime?? As far as I remember, Iran is not socialist, but I doubt people would ever claim the protests have links to Mossad if they’d even be close to being socialist… God, it’s such a mess. This flood the zone bullshit of a dying empire is making me want to touch grass more and more but rn there’s only snow outside
It’s very much a failed color revolution attempt, and there’s clearly no popular uprising happening. Reddit and other western media have been actively trying to create a narrative of an uprising to help things along, as they always do in such cases.
